the even celadon stone of oval section, having deep wells each carved with geometric design and two above two lappet leaves with stylized beast mask flanking a raised rectangular flange, the cup having two relief carved sinuous to one side and another and a stylized dragon forming the handle to the opposite, the oval flat base incised with two sentences from the poem written by Tang Dynasty poet, Song Zhiwen (656-712). Height 3 7/8 inches.
