Two similar Chinese inlaid low tables, each rectangular in form and surmounted by a panel top inset with semi-precious stone and probably jade. Both panels portraying imaginary scenes; one with the eight immortals in various modes of travel with one riding a peach, five in a boat and two on a cloud scroll, all beneath a pagoda on cloud scroll; the other depicting an Emperor standing with attendant and horse underneath a stylized pine tree calling up to a four beauties on a cloud scroll. Both panels covered with glass and supported on a gothic blind fret carved base with similarly carved straight legs. Approximate height of the first table 18.5”, width 46.4”, depth 24”. Approximate height of other table 19.25”, width 46.4”, depth 24”.
