Venice, Italy, intricate in design and construction, the outer surfaces of banded pale to deep pink rhodochrosite, the lid surmounted with a silver gilt clamshell accent set with numerous round mixed cut tsavorite garnets, the interior of the box in white marble with black veining, the inner lid set with six silver gilt starfish each centrally set with a round mixed cut pink sapphire and suspending a briolette cut yellow sapphire, the inner base set with a silver tone letter "N" containing round single cut diamonds. 29.80 x 19.70 cm.
