De'An Mine, Jiangxi Province, China, ex. The Dr. Edward E. David Collection Consisting of a cubo-octahedron fluorite of intense purple hue, often referred to as "grape jelly", and a high degree of translucency on a base of quartz that has been etched to more fully reveal the fluorite, from the 2004 find. Provenance Note: Dr. David held the position of Presidential Science Advisor under Nixon and was a serious collector of minerals. 11.90 x 7.40 x 6.40 cm.
