Sold for:
$3,250

United States, exquisitely carved from a single large amber nugget. The mermaid figure is seated with flowing hair, with very attractive facial features. NOTE: "Blue" amber occurs uncommonly, originating from the Dominican deposits and acquires its color when lit with sunlight or another UV rich light source, bringing about strong blue fluorescence. Height: 11.40 cm.
