WIG WAG SELF-WINDING WRISTWATCH Wig-Wag. No.1749731. Produced in the 1930's. Interesting and rare, self-winding, rectangular, stainless steel wristwatch. To be sold without reserve Three-body, polished, stepped lugs, hinged upper securing main body. Silvered with luminous Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, outer minute track. Blued steel hands. Notes In 1931, the "La Champagne" watch factory of Louis Müller & Co. patented a watch with "roll winding", which was launched under the name "Wig-Wag". Like to the Rolls model, the movement is mounted in a rolling case. The back and forth movement of the wrist activates the automatic winding. The energy is transmitted to the mainspring by a jointed parallelogram lever, mounted in an elastic fashion, so as to function as a shock-absorber as well.
