American (Joliet, Illinois), first half of 20th century. Circa 1930s oversize bluebill drake duck decoy. Duck with grey bill with black tip, yellow eyes, white and black body with scalloped chest feathers. Duck with old repaint. Label on underside from the premier duck decoy auction house Guyette and Schmidt Inc., St. Michaels, Maryland. Approximate height 7.5", width 14.25", depth 6.25". Note: Pratt Manufacturing Company purchased Masons Decoy Company (Detrioit, Michigan) in 1924.
