Grande Sonnerie Austrian, probably Viennese. Made circa 1825. Fine and rare, grande and petite sonnerie, ebonized wood and gilt brass wall and traveling clock with alarmand the original fittedmorocco travelling case. Square ebonized wood, gilt brass engine-turned bezel and twist-design suspension handle. GiIt brass engine-turned with radial Roman numerals on a brushed chapter ring, outerminute divisions, fourwinding apertures. Blued steel scotties hands. Circular brass full plate four trains, with quarter and hour striking trains independent from each other, cylinder escapement, plain brass three arm balance, flat balance spring with polished steel endplate, rack regulator, striking on gongs with two polished steel hammers, alarm train with further hammer.
