Lefebure a Paris, No. 759, circa 1790.Fine, 18 ct. gold and enamel, half pearl-set pendant watch. Two-body, spring-loaded, enamelled back with painted gold paillon peacock feathers against dark blue translucent enamel over engine-turning, bezels set with half pearls. 28 mm o, hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass 3-arm balance with flat spring, continental cock pierced and engraved.Signed on the dial and movement.Diam.36 mm. Published in the Sandberg book, page 162-163. Notes The Louvre Museum has a similar watch by Lefebvre dated 1786-87 and also decorated with peacock feathers.
