John Kenable, Frith Street, London, circa 1800. Fine and unusual 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl-set, iglomised glass, centre seconds watch, made for the Chinese market. Two-body, spring-loaded back cover very finely underpainted on glass with flowers on a black ground, the bezels set with half pearls, the enamelled pendant also set with matching half pearls, gold hinged, glazed cuvette mounted to the movement ring. 46.1 mm o, gilt brass, entirely engraved and pierced 3/4 plate, going barrel, cylinder escapement, plain threearm steel balance, blued-steel flat balance spring, diamond endstone.Signed on the movement with prestige marks inside back cover.Diam. 58 mm.
