The MangoUnsigned, No. 4949, Geneva, circa 1810.Very fine and rare 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl-set form watch designed as a mango, made for the Chinese market. Two-body, the top of the fruit forming the bezel, the body entirely painted on enamel in subtly graduated tones, four green leaves stemming from the pendant set with half-pearls, half pearl-set bezel. 17.5 mm o, gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock, rack and pinion regulator with a silver plate.Dim. 31 x 32 mm.
