“Minute-Repeater” Humbert-Ramuz & Co. , Chaux-de-Fonds, “Répétition à Minutes”, No. 58288. Made in the late 1890s. Fine, large, hunting-cased, keyless, minute-repeating, 18K pink gold pocket watch. Four-body, “bassine et filets”, solid, engine-turned covers, front with a blank shield, polished band, gold hinged cuvette with inscription. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Gold “Louis XVI” hands. Cal. 21’’’, “maillechort”, “fausses côtes” decoration, 30 jewels, straight line counterpoised lever escapement, cutbimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Dial and case signed. Diam. 60 mm.
