Skeletonized (Jean) Arthur, (Paris). Made circa 1760. Very fine, gold skeletonized pocket watch with cylinder escapement. Two-body, “Louis XV”, glazed on both sides, band engraved with a repeated anthemion pattern. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with fifteen-minute Arabic numerals. Gold Louis XV hands. 36 mm, hinged, frosted and engraved gilt skeletonized plate with cylindrical, fusee and chain, the barrel skeletonized, cylinder escapement, fine large three-arm gold balance with perpendicular amplitude limiting pin on the rim, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator on the edge, triangular single-footed solid engraved cock.
