Daniel Gom à Lyon, circa 1650. Fine early silver watch in form of a pupkin. Double body, bassine with split bezel, winding shutter and loose-ring pendant, chased and engraved with alternate engine-turned sectors. Silver with Roman numerals on a polished chapter, the center florally engraved. Single blued steel hand. GiIt brass, full plate with amphore pillars, three wheel train with fusee and gut line, ratchet wheel set-up, gilt brass florally pierced and engraved decoration, verge escapement with plain steel balance without balance spring, florally pierced and engraved oval gilt brass cock, secured by a screw. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 43mm.
