Wm. Addis, London, circa 1775. Very fine 20 ct. gold and enamel watch with a matching gold and enamel chatelaine, a matching key and three charms. Double body, chased and enamelled, with small landscapes on the bezels, a loving couple in a garden, finely painted on the back. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold Louis XV hands. Gilt brass dust cap. GiIt brass, full plate with turned baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with plain steel three armed balance, English cock with diamond endstone. Signed on the dust cap and the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 45 mm.
