Armand à Kôbenhavn, circa 1790. Unusual and rare 18 ct gold , calendar watch with special caliber. Double body "Louis XVI", polished. white enamel with Roman numerals , outer minute ring and inner red date chapter (slightly restored) . Gold "poker and beetle" hands. gilt brass, flat caliber, with the barrel passing through the plate, cylinder escapement, three arms brass balance. Movement signed. In good condition. Diam.: 58 mm. Notes Fine watch and chronometer maker, Armand is known to have produced among different experimental pieces, a marine chronometer similar to that invented in France by the celebrated Pierre Le Roy.
