Smith & SonsFine and very rare 18 ct. gold keyless chronograph with 52.5 minute karrusel and minute recorder, with especially good certificate (84.9) from Kew Observatory Polished with a molto engraved on the back. hite enamel with Arabic numerals + subsidiarys seconds + 30 minute register. Blued steel trefoil hands. Three-quarter plate gilt brass, 17 jewels, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, balance spring with terminal curve. In good condition. Diam. 57 mm Notes Note: The standard model of karrusel watch as invented by Bonniksen had a carriage revolving once in 52,5 minutes. The carriage of the centre seconds model made one turn in 34 minutes. This particulary rare exemple with chronograph exhibits marked differences in its construction, particularly with regard to the under dial work.
