Anonymous, Swiss, possibly made by Moyse Gevril, Fils, Genève, circa 1780. Fine and very rare, 18 ct. gold early self-winding watch with center seconds and decorated dial. Double body, Louis XVI, polished. Eccentric white enamel with Roman and Arabic numerals, outer Arabic seconds ring, subsidiary sector for the index. A courting couple finely painted in the center. Gold Louis XV bands. Frosted and gilt full plate, with conical pillars, going-barrel, plain balance, flat balance spring. Gilt-metal winding weight pivoted on the edge of the back-plate, banking springs fixed on each sides. Gilt brass dust rim. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
