Nicole & Capt, Soho Square, London, No. 7255, with London hallmarks for 1873. Fine and rare 18 ct. gold keyless watch with Nicole patented chronograph and central progressive minute recorder. Three body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, marked "A.N." (Adolph Nicole), the back engraved with a crest with the motto: Spes et Fides. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute and chronograph ring. Blued steel "spade" hands.
