Fine and unusual very large 18 ct. gold, quarter repeating, dead independent seconds watches made for astronomers with special 15 seconds striking device. Four body with reeded band, bezels pendant and bow with floral cast decoration, the back engine-turned. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with technical details. White enamel with Roman numerals. Gold Breguet hands. Notes The independent seconds wheel is divided by four pins operating detent with passing slot, releasing a double-ended fly controlling the hammer through the subsidiary third train.
