Pierre Romilly (Geneva), circa 1700. Very fine silver pair cased, early quarter repeating watch. Fine and early silver quarter repeating watch. Double body outer, pierced and engraved on the border with inhabited foliage. Inner double body, bassine with split bezel, pierced and engraved with inhabited foliage as well. Silver champleve with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Fine blued steel hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with Egyptian pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain steel three arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English style cock. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial and back plate. In good condition. Diam. 60 mm.
