Thomas Berry, Manchester, bearing the London hallmarks for 1773. Fine 18 ct. gold triple case watch. Outer double body, repousse with a very fine mythological scene and outer floral and scrolled decoration. Inner double body plain bassine, polished. Brass shagreen covered protecting case. Gold champleve with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Blued steel "poker and beetle" hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three arm balance, flat balance spring and silver English cock, engraved with a mask and pierced with inhabited foliage. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 60 mm.
