Darras à Paris, circa 1785. Red and white marble, eight day going, hour and half hour striking skeleton dock. Octagonal white marble base on three gilt brass turned feet, the movement is supported by five red marble columns with three gilt bronze finials. White enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals and inner calendar ring, subsidiary dials for the months and days of the week with symbols of their planets. Gilt brass pierced "fleurs de lys" bands. Large brass circular with going barrels both for the going and the striking train, deadbeat escapement, the half second beating pendulum with knife edge suspension. Striking on a bels with count wheel on the back plate. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Dim. 39 x 20 cm.
