Gaudron à Paris, circa 1690. Fine gilt brass, shark skin covered Louis XIV " oignon" with alarm. Double body, "oignon", with shark skin covered bezel and back. Silver champlevé with Roman numerals and fleurs de lys half pour divisions, gilt brass inner revolving Marin setting disc. Blued steel single hand and pointer. Hinged gilt brass full plate with Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, short flat balance spring, rack and pinion regulator, fine gilt brass Louis XIV cock pierced and engraved with urn and foliage. Alarm train with gilt brass fixed barrel pierced and engraved with foliage, striking on a belle. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 58 mm.
