"J*D", No. 851, French, circa 1890. Very fine and rare eight day going, " M i g n o n e t t e " carriage clock with Pietra dura panels. Gilt brass "Gorge", with glazed top and back door, the side slate panels with very fine bard stone inlaid compositions of flowers and butterflies. Gilt brass with Roman numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. Frosted and gilt dial plate. Brass rectangular with going barrel, gilt brass platform with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, flat balance spring with regulator. Trade Mark punched on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 75 x 55 x 45 mm., excluding the handle.
