Tall Federal Walnut and Mahogany Slant-lid Desk, Middle Atlantic States, c. 1800, the lid opens to an interior of fourteen drawers, two document drawers, and locking prospect door opening to four drawers, replaced brasses, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 51, wd. 37, dp. 19 1/2 in. Note: Chalk writing on backboards reads in part "Samuel..." shrinkage cracking to drawer fronts, small crack to right side of case near front, ivory escutcheons replaced; drawer runners patched.
