Dimmer, (late E & E Emanuel) 101 High Street, Portsmouth," the oak case with curved top with chip-carved cornice door carved with patera, front panel with running ivory vine, ht. 19 1/2, wd. 14 1/4, dp. 9 in. Glass missing from door; steel face with vertical streaking/staining and heavy corrosion to both hands; metal dampening grill to back pushed in and warped; nest of bells loose and the strike mechanism is stuck on the "on" position; case with age typical minor defects and discoloration.
