William & Mary Inlaid Burl Walnut Slant-lid Desk, early 18th century, with herringbone crossbanding throughout, fitted interior with pigeonholes, a well and small drawers, lower case with three long drawers, stemmed bun feet, ht. 38, wd. 36 1/2, dp. 23 in. Slant lid with side to side shrinkage crack and minor cracks and chips; case with patches to former brass holes and also shadows; base replaced; minor chips and age typical wear.
