Chinese Export Silver Incense Burner-form Urn, late 19th century, unmarked, ovoid body chased and embossed with pair of writhing dragons centered by a gold covered orb, the neck applied with gold or gold covered Chinese characters, with dragon scroll handles, the domed lid with rats amidst fruiting grapevines, and with recumbent foo dog finial, on three lion monopodia, and round base pierced with character roundels and engraved at rim with leaves, ht. 9 3/8 in., approx. 32 troy oz. no discernable Chinese mark. bears small French import mark at inner rim of lid. good, with minor age wear, and wear to surface of the gilding over the orb.
