Sterling Fruit Compotes, 1891-1902, boat shaped, with reticulated band at rim finely cast with goddess masks, cornucopia, running hounds, patera scrolls, and flower-filled bowls, the raised ends with pair of goddess masks, and applied scrolled acanthus, the lower sides with applied flowerhead scrolls, on ovoid foot with Green Man mask and scroll rim, raised on four shell-topped paw feet, ht. to 6 1/2, wd. 15 3/8 in., approx. 81 troy oz. one with monogram removal at foot, and with a pinpoint to body. the other with light compression to one side, and an unobtrusive small rectangular let-in piece of silver to other side of foot. very minor age typical light usage wear.
