Wedgwood Majolica Five-piece Punch and Judy Pattern Assembled Tea Set, England, c. 1879, polychrome decorated, each of oval shape and modeled with figural handles, the covers with "Toby" finials, including two similar teapots and covers, lg. 8; two covered sugar bowls, lg. 6; and a cream jug, lg. 4 1/2 in.; impressed marks. Literature: Illustrated in Wedgwood II by R. Reilly, plate C44. Teapots: One pot with 2" hairline to one side and a 1/2" chip to the inner rim (where the cover sits); each cover with several rim chips, mostly under the edge. Sugar bowls: One with two rim chips on the outside edge. Creamer: Very good condition.
