Oil with gold and aluminum leaf on canvas, 27 x 56 in. (68.6 x 142.2 cm), framed. Condition: Tear in the l.l. quadrant with resulting paint loss, surface grime. Exhibitions: Annual Exhibition of Contemporary American Painting, Whitney Museum of Art, November 9, 1955-January 8, 1956, (exh. no. 125). Tear measures approx. 1 1/2"L, subtle canvas deformation in the u.r. corner.
