Carl Roux (German, 1826-1894) Cattle Coming 'Round the Mountain Monogram signed and dated "CRoux 1870" l. r., titled on the stretcher bar with an A. Schutzman, Munchen, canvas stencil on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 23 1/4 x 14 1/2 in. (59.1 x 36.8 cm), framed. Condition: Craquelure, surface grime, small restored puncture and retouch. Small retouched loss at back of brown cow. Craquelure stable. The work would benefit from a gentle cleaning.
