William Formby Halsall (American, 1841-1919) Figures on a Coast, Possibly Highland Lighthouse Signed "W. F. Halsall" l.l. Oil on canvas, 22 x 40 in. (55.9 x 101.6 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, craquelure, abrasions, surface grime, varnish inconsistencies. Losses along bottom frame liner approximately 9 in. length x 1/4 in. height, surface grime, would benefit from a cleaning, craquelure throughout, varnish inconsistencies, probable old retouch to much of dark grey in sky area, alligatoring wthin sky area, gold metallic paint along right edge from previous liner, scattered minor losses.
