George II Carved Giltwood and Gesso Mirror, mid 18th century, with scrolled cresting, pendant and corners, the frame composed of carved leaftip tendrils and c-scrolls on a stippled mat gold ground, ht. 39 3/4, wd. 21 1/2 in. Overall very good to excellent condition; minor sickness to mirror plate; plate old but likely 19th century; burnishing clay showing through in many spots.
