Robert Shaw Wesson (American, 1902-1967) Winter Village at Tunbridge V. T. Signed "Robert Wesson" l.r., titled, signed, and dated "...Robert Wesson 51" on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 24 x 30 in. (61.0 x 76.2 cm), framed. Condition: Craquelure, varnish inconsistencies, surface grime. Scattered specks of varnish inconsistencies in the lower half of the composition. A few unobtrusive vertical cracks in the paint surface, where the white paint is more heavily applied, such as in the lower right quadrant, from the barn to the top of the covered bridge, in the foothills on the left. No visible abrasions or paint loss.
