Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Daniel Weston, Ellenville, New York, mid-19th century, straight-sided crock with lug handles, freehand cobalt bird design, impressed maker's mark, (chips, hairlines), ht. 12 in. Both handles with large losses; rim chips: 1 1/4 x 1 in. on exterior rim, two shallow interior rim chips 1/2 and 3/4 in. dia. and several small shallow interior rim chip; 3 in hairline under one handle, three in. hairline on back.
