Anthony Hart (1924-1998) Mosaic Glass Hanging Lamp New York Conical form composed of a mosaic of purple, green, and caramel slag glass in a floral and foliate design accented by iridescent butterflies and amber glass nuggets, signed in the metalwork, the cap is attached to the upper rim and fitted with a single ceramic socket, rewired, dia. 22 in. Note: Hart was a native New Yorker legendary for his lamp building and colorful life. His lamps are sought by collectors that understand the construction, composition, color, and materials that go into hand-building a mosaic glass lamp.
