Porcelain-mounted Gilt-bronze Mantel Clock, France, 19th century, with a bird perched atop an oval frame adorned with foliate festoons over a case with foliate decorated scrolled side handles, porcelain mounted with a portrait, dial and panels of flowers and cherubs, inscribed Verdagen & Cie. , ht. 17 in. Needs a good cleaning (may have been stored in an attic or barn). some corrosion to feet. Curved leaf to body at right side lacking a section of floral trim at rear. clocks not guranteed to be in working order.
