Pair of George III Silver and Cobalt Glass-lined Sweetmeat Baskets, London, 1783-84, maker's mark WC, round tapered form, reticulated with flutes, figure eights, and urn roundels, with guilloche and paterae openwork swing handles, ht. 2 1/2 in., approx. 6 troy oz. one liner replaced (with a cobalt flashed liner). handles rather roughly cast; both marked with lion passant and maker's mark.
