Two Small German . 800 Silver Snuff Boxes, late 19th century, one formed as the bust of an 18th century gentleman in tricorn hat, ht. 2 5/8, the other heart-shaped, the lid with pierced scrollwork and bird decoration on abalone ground, centered by a yellow and rose gold wreath enclosing a glass-covered roundel, lg. 2 1/2 in., approx. 4 troy oz. bust: minor age wear. heart: cleaning/water residue under glass of lid (was possibly a mini painting there that has now eroded away). small dent to side.
