Large Gorham Coin Silver Center Bowl, 1848-65, boat-shaped, with loop handles with bifurcate upper terminals ending in anthemion, engraved at rim with anthemia band, on conforming spreading foot, engraved to one side with mottoed crest, monogram to the other, wd. to handles 21, ht. 10 1/2 in., with an associated silver plate lid with similar anthemia rim, approx. 72 troy oz. good, with minor age wear. crest's motto: Patiente Labore monogram JBS
