Boston, Massachusetts maple gate leg table, ca. 1750 , the top supporting 2 deep d-shaped leaves over a frame with a single drawer, supported by 6 baluster and block turned legs joined by stretchers, 29" h., 61" w., 45" l. Provenance: Descended in the Letchworth family, Philadelphia. According to family history, this table was purchased by the consignors' grandfather at the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition and the drawer retains a page from Harpers Bazaar , illustrating this table during the Exhibition.
