Brass Clock Uprighting Tool, Swiss, late 19th Century, the 9 1/2 in. round bed and cyma-shaped frame support the spring loaded steel runner and center point all on three sturdy iron legs for bench attachment with brass cover, ht. 27 in. A closely related tool is illustrated in the Mather & Lassell tool catalogue in the collections at Le Chateau des Monts as shown in Crom #3, page 158. Another example stamped "Vulliamy" is illustrated in Crom #2.
