Pair of Sheffield Plate Convertible Chafing Dishes, c. 1820, oblong, the chafing dish base with curved handles, on belted ball feet, fitted with deep or shallow dish, lid with removable handle, converting also to covered dish without warming base, or two open vegetable dishes, full lg. 14 in. good, with minor rosing. Interior of chafing dish bases with possibly solder strengthening at handles. lids engraved with a small crest.
