Electroplate Stag Head Tureen, date marked 1865, round body applied with pair of large stag head handles, the lid with finial formed as a standing stag, the whole raised on leaf-topped cloven-hoof legs, engraved to front with a coat of arms, ht. 13 in., with felt-lined oak case. finial lacking one antler, the other antler bent down. tarnish. minor usage wear (mainly light interior scratching). The case with some moth wear to felt, finish wear, and loss of wood to front left base corner.
