Large George II Silver Waiter, London, 1751, James Morrison, maker, the shaped edge heavily molded with acanthus scrolls and rocaille, engraved to center with large Rococo-scrolled cartouche, on four scroll and leaftip feet, dia. 24 1/4 in., approx. 160 troy oz. engraving to central cartouche removed, with some resultant wear to engraving at inner edge of cartouche, otherwise good. marks good.
