François Charles Cachoud (French, 1866-1943) Afterglow. Signed and dated "FCachoud 1905"l.r., identified on a presentation plaque, with a partial printed label "succ... de/ William Straus/Tableaus modernes" on the frame backing paper. Pastel on canvas, 12 3/4 x 18 in., framed. Condition: Lined, surface mold and grime. Inscribed "Thurne" in chalk on the stretcher and frame liner. Not examined out of frame - mold throughout composition, from mild to severe.
