Booklet of C. 1830 Hand-painted Indian Figures on Mica and a Loose Portfolio of Lithographed Plates from Freaks of the Jaguey, From Nature, the booklet cover inscribed in part "Painted at In----- India by a native Oct. 1830," containing twelve pages each mounted with two gouache on mica plates depicting male and female Indian figures with identification below, (paint losses), 7 1/2 x 6, mica sheets 4 1/2 x 3 in.; together with a loose portfolio of 12 lithograph sketches taken in Cuba of the strange formations of the Jaguey tree a species of the Indian fig, by Charles D'Wolf Brownell, M.A., Providence, 1871, 9 x 7 1/4 in., each laid down on card. Mica folio images with paint losses.
