Sanghua Inkstone

Sanghua Inkstone, China, 19th century, of rectangular shape, the cover incised in standard script with Zhangzi's "Xiao Yao You," with a panel in ochre color with a square perforation flanked by two seal script characters, further surrounded by archaic scrolls in relief, the inkstone finely carved in relief with bat, dragon, and fish amidst gathering clouds and swirling waves to the top section, 5 1/8 x 3 5/8 in. Repair to the side of the box
